I first came across Phoenix Children’s Foundation whilst escorting a group of American students to Bath. They said they had seen a pony the size of a dog, so I had to investigate I spent time chatting to the chap holding the pony, then checked them out on line when I got home. After many e-mails and telephone conversations, I was passed fit to hold a pony whilst collecting donations. Having seen how hard such a small group works – no highly paid CEO – and the amazing benefits their efforts provide for disabled children, I am absolutely delighted and chuffed to be asked to be a trustee.
