Whilst our animals have lived at The Phoenix Children’s Foundation base in Packington from the very beginning, it’s only recently that we have been able to welcome children, young people and their families here.
Over the last two years we’ve received materials, funding and volunteer hours from Lloyds Bank, Harlow Timber and Screwfix Direct to build a classroom, kitchen, fully accessible toilet facility and a sensory garden on our 14 acre site.
The generosity of these organisations, and their staff, has ensured we can welcome 8-10 children/young people of all abilities to Packington at any one time. They can eat, rest, play and take time out in fully accessible, safe and welcoming setting, nurtured by our animals and the day-to-day routine required to care for them.
